Retreat Marketing: Sold-Out Results Across Multiple Clients

Retreat leaders with compelling offerings and no marketing infrastructure to match. No website, no booking system, no strategy to fill their programs.

Overview

Retreat leaders are often incredible at what they do and genuinely stumped by how to fill their programs. The marketing side, the website, the booking system, the social presence — it’s a lot to build when you’re also the one leading the retreat. I partnered with multiple clients to build all of it so they could focus on what they do best.

The Challenge

  • Compelling retreat offerings with no digital presence to match

  • Websites that were outdated, hard to navigate, and not built to convert

  • No social media assets or content plan to build anticipation before registration opened

  • Marketing materials that didn’t reflect the quality of the experience being offered

  • Booking systems that were manual or nonexistent, creating friction for people trying to sign up

What I Did

Each client got a full setup: website, booking system, social assets, and a marketing plan built around their specific audience and timeline.

  • Designed and built websites tailored to each retreat’s brand, with intuitive navigation, strong landing pages, and integrated booking

  • Set up online booking systems using Airtable, Google, or the website’s built-in scheduling and payment tools, making it easy for guests to register and easy for clients to manage capacity and payments

  • Developed social media assets and content strategies timed to build excitement and drive traffic to booking pages

  • Created full suites of marketing materials including email campaigns, promotional graphics, and editable design templates clients could reuse

  • Maintained brand consistency across every touchpoint so the experience felt premium from the first social post through the booking confirmation

Results

Every retreat sold out. Beyond the bookings, each client walked away with a real marketing infrastructure they could use again for future programs. I’ve watched clients get more intentional about how and when they post, and more systematic about how they structure and market their retreats over time. They’ve all become returning clients, coming back for each new retreat to update their content, run promotions, and keep building. That ongoing relationship is the part I care about most — not just a sold-out result, but leaving people with something that keeps working after the engagement ends.
